AMBEG is a family-owned company in its third generation. Its employees contribute with their skills and knowledge to innovation and customer focus. The machine design with modern 3D CAD workstations and the machine shop with CNC machine tools enable fast and flexible production of customer requirements.

In addition to standard machines and after-forming lines for the production of vials, syringe barrels and cartridges, AMBEG also offers custom machines according to specified customer requirements.

1926

Foundation
On 22 April 1926, Jakob Dichter opens his first workshop for the construction of machines for the manufacture of medical glassware at Mariannenstraße 48 in Berlin-Kreuzberg. The German patent no. 484 746 marks the start of the construction of a whole series of automatic glass forming machines.

1936

Expanding into the international market
The company continues to grow. Over 400 patents are registered. In 1936,
the factory moves to its current location at the Schöneberg S-Bahn station.

1945

Post-war reconstruction
The bombings of World War II and the dismantling after 1945 result in the need for complete reconstruction of the company. By 1947 the first machines are once again ready for export.

1960

World Market Leader with U3 and RP
The ampoule forming machine U3 and
the vial forming machine RP are successfully
established on the world market..

1967

Commitment, a Family Affair
The family legacy continues in 1956 when his son Hans-Joachim Dichter joins the company. After Dr. Jakob Dichter’s sudden death in December 1967, Hans-Joachim Dichter takes over the leadership.

1988

New generation of machines
The higher-performance RP30 is launched in 1988 as the successor to the vial forming machine RP. The syringe forming machine FS follows one year later..

1991

Modernisation In 1991, the production halls on Tempelhofer Weg are expanded and put into operation.

1999

Laser cutting machine
Laser cutting machine is launched.

2001

75th Anniversary
In its 75th anniversary year, the company is proud to present a new development – the high-speed vial forming machine RP 32 .

2003

Third generation management
Andreas Dichter becomes managing director
and leads the company in its third generation..

2010

After-forming lines
After-forming lines are launched.

2016

High-speed line
High-speed line with four syringe forming machines FS 16 is launched.

2017

RP 20 plus
Vial forming machine RP 20 plus for large OD vials is launched.

2018

HSI Drive
High-speed-index drive is launched and sets new standards in cycle rates..

2023

New assembly hall
In Groß Kienitz a new state-of-the-art facility is being established for the commissioning and testing of forming machines and production lines.
